It is my pleasure to host this time and I chose a theme of "Add a Sentiment"

I've created a Christmas card...never to early to start on that pile of cards needed. I found some wonderful stamps by Lesia Klapkiv and couldn't resist buying a few of them.  

I wanted to make these adorable kittens the center of attention so kept a white background. Coloured with Copics and Polychromo pencils

***Simply Cuties***

 Hello folks,

Lots of excitement around here today.  Crowds of folks (hubby and I included) gathered along the lake to view the Solar Eclipse this afternoon.  Even the schools in town were closed for the day.What a spectacular, once in a lifetime event. We were fortunate to meet a few astronomers with all their cameras set up.  They were projecting with their cameras the eclipse onto a screen.  Fascinating to watch.

On to my post today for which I am very late.    So sorry for my tardiness.

*** Birthday Girl ***

 Hi folks,

Happy Easter Weekend for those of you who are celebrating. 

We had our holiday dinner on Good Friday to accomodate the granddaughters who are home for the weekend but returning to Uni on Sunday.   Sure was a treat to have them home for a few days.

I dug deep in my stamp drawer and found this sweet stamp from Little Darlings called "Groovin" that was a delight to colour.

**** a little more green****

 Hello folks,

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Winter winds blowing off the lake make it feel even colder than it is today. On my morning walk I noticed the large willow tree in the bay was beginning to bloom.  Signs of Spring always make me smile.

Today at the 

Sweet Stampin Challenge 

we would like to see some GREEN

I've chosen to make an easel Birthday Card using a lot of what I think of as Spring Green.

The flower circle is made with an old stamp from my collection, coloured with Copics and Glossy Accents added to give some shine.  The sentiment is a B Line Designs stamped in SU Tranquil Tide

 Hi folks,

Hope all is well with you and yours.  
We've had a few sunny days here this week...feels wonderful after the gloomy January we experienced. 

Today starts a new challenge at

"Paper Piecing"

I've chosen to paper piece a die cut.  I first cut the Whimsy Stamps die using the dark green paper, then cut the watercolour design paper using the same die. Then I hand the flowers, finished the edges with MFT ink.  

The sentiment die is Poppy Stamps - Poe Script, Gems from my stash.

It's been a very long time since I've been able to blog. So Sorry for the delay. Both Hubby and I have been ill and it's taken a long time to get back into the swing of things.  On top of that my pc was hacked again and I just got around to getting it cleaned and ready to go.  Hello all,

Hope you had a good weekend.  A bit of snow in my area with no sunshine.

Hubby and I have come down with what so far seems like a chest cold. Here's hoping it does not amount to anything more.
