Hi all,
I'm back again as promised with my second post for today.
This time to let you know about the new challenge starting at
The Paper Shelter with the theme of  "Lace"

When looking for an image to use this week I decided on A Summer Walk
I love all the wonderful details on TPS images and as soon as I saw the lace
trim on this beauty's skirt I knew I wanted to colour her and her friend for this challenge.

Image cut using SB Grand Oval - second smallest die
Sentiment is a stamp that unfortunately I do not know the origin

For the Kids...

Hi everyone,
I hope all is well with you and yours.
We are having fabulous weather here.
I'm so loving this summer with our cool nights and warm sunny days....just beautiful.
Hubby is happy too as the air conditioning has not been running constantly
...keeping our hydro bill manageable.
The lawns are all green...so unusual for August.
Normally by this late in the summer we have water bans in place
and everything is scorched...but not this year ...I'm loving it.

Now....on to business.  Today starts a new challenge at
and our lovely Becky has chosen
For the Kids

The fabulous Kenny K is one of our sponsors this week
and I chose to colour an image called Bear that can be found here.
I thought he would make a perfect card for a little fella.

I cut the balloons out of Inky Antics Honeycomb Paper
The paper is from Paperhouse The Great Outdoors mini paper pad

I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week and I'll be back shortly with
my second post for today.

Happy Birthday...

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well.
I've enjoyed my little holiday away from crafting these past few weeks
but am now into the swing of things with two posts.

Today starts a new challenge at
and the theme is a great one....Make it Digital

There are so many fabulous images at The Paper Shelter and I choose
one that I've wanted to showcase for sometime now.
It is the wonderful Los Mariachis
I just love how this turned out...and it's so easy.

This is a pre-coloured image. I printed two copies on my photo printer, using
one to paper piece the hat, mustache, eyebrows, bow ties and banner.
The Happy Birthday is a MB die.
Balloons are from Die-Namics...sentiment created in Word before cutting

As always there this a fabulous prize for the winner this week so we hope you can play along.
Please stop by and see the wonderful inspiration
from my talented team mates too...we'd love to see you.

I'll be back in a little bit with my second post..

...a little cake anyone!

Hi folks,
It's almost the weekend...hope you have something fun planned.
DH and I had a lovely day yesterday.  We went to lunch at a five star restaurant in a little town about a half hour away.
Our daughter and SIL had given us a gift certificate which was lovely...they are so thoughtful.

I'd like to share a card with you tonight that I made using another cute image from Sassy Cheryl.
She is called Sam's Chocolate Cake. I was unable to find it in the store to link up so I'm thinking perhaps she is discontinued :(
....and today she is having vanilla cake with strawberry icing.

I used a sketch from Sunday Sketch Challenge #213
DP is Graphic 45
Frame is MS punch-around-the-page Flourish Lace
Sentiment created in Word
Coloured with Copics

Happy Dance

Hi everyone,

I hope you've enjoyed the weekend, perhaps shared with family and friends.

I've got a quick card to show today that I coloured with Copics.
I am a big fan of Sassy Cheryl stamps and couldn't wait to colour this cutie called

Now I'm thinking this little gal is a trend setter so I added fuchsia streaks to her hair for fun.
The buttons are from my stash and that wonderful sentiment is from Created with TLC.

The inside of this 6x6 inch card has been finished as well.
